Geneva, Switzerland

The Eurocup 2008 is over, congratulations to Spain, but the pictures of the event will last for ever. More so in the minds of people, specially the ones who lived it closer.

I still remember Eurocup 2004 here in Portugal, the party, the people in the streets, the football, and unfortunately I also remember the final which Portugal lost against Greece. But that's life.

Anyway back to the point, this time the leap is small, we jump from Munich to Geneva in Switzerland.

This picture was taken by a flight attendant friend of mine who was in Geneva during the Eurocup. In the picture, besides the quite big McDonald's restaurant, we can see some traces of the Eurocup, specially the people with Portugal's national team t-shirts on the left.

It must have been some amazing days in Geneva.

Keep sending your photos!

Munich, Germany

After a small visit to Portugal we go back to the center of Europe, and for the third time to Germany, namely to Munich.

And I'm very pleased because this was also sent by e-mail, this time by Marta Boaventura, from Portugal.

Once again the McDonald's restaurant is really close to a Burger King restaurant, but from the picture it seems that McDonald's cares more about their image.

I really like the balloons on the top of the entrance.

Edit: This restaurant is located in the "Tal Street", near Marienplatz. And guess what, was taken specially for this blog!

Thank you Marta for this contribution!

Don't be shy and send your photos, and you can even add some small text that I will put in the post, tell us a story, tell us a bit about why did you take the picture, share!

See you around!

Évora, Portugal

We now go back to Europe, and finally to Portugal. As a Portuguese fan of McDonald's it's strange not having any picture of a restaurant in Portugal. But this will be corrected now.

João Alves from Portugal sent me a picture of a restaurant in the city of Évora, a beautiful city in the south center of Portugal, in the region of Alentejo. Évora is well know by its Roman Temple, the temple of Diana built in the first century.

The picture sent by João is not awesome, I guess it was taken with a mobile phone, but since it's the first from Portugal I think it is worthy to be shown here.
